The Ultimatrix is an upgraded version of Ben’s Omnitrix that enables Ben to transform into the strong and powerful hyper-evolved alien forms available in the Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien series. You need to fight your way through different obstacles and enemies along the way using your aliens. Game Objective of Ben 10 Cosmic Destruction

You will begin with three (3) lives and along the way, extra lives can be collected. If your lives are depleted before completing the level, you will begin at the stage’s starting point again.

Presentation

The game’s presentation in the web version is still similar to the Nintendo DS (NDS) version where there are two (2) split screens where one is focused on the main game, where the health bar and the Ultimatrix’s meter are displayed; and the other is for the in-game dialogues between characters and the Ultimatrix in order to choose between your alien forms.

Graphics

The game’s graphics are set in a 2D mode, however, the background of the stages are 3D-like which are awesome to look at, making the game much more immersive. Though some web versions have dropped the graphics’ quality, making it a bit pixelated for smoother gameplay.

Audio

The game’s audio retains the original NDS version’s audio however it becomes of lesser quality.

Controls

The game’s controls in the web browsers version become a bit easier because you can redefine the controls according to your own liking and preference. Moves, combos, transformations, and ultimate transformations are taught in the game’s first level which is the tutorial. In most web emulators, the control presets are down below.

Difficulty

The game is a bit challenging since there are a lot of enemies that will have high hit points as the stages advance. The enemies will get annoyingly strong too as the level nears the end, so as the stage bosses. You will be needing a thorough examination of your surroundings and look for extra lives as you will be needing those in boss battles. Also, you need to use your Ultimatrix’s ultimate attack only in difficult situations such as enemies ganging up on you and boss battles. Remember, you don’t need to rush as there is no time limit to accomplish each stage.

Therefore, the game’s difficulty is more centered around you using your lives and your Ultimatrix’s ultimate attack.

Fun factor

Most people are into adventure games, especially when the plot is unusual and the levels are challenging. Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction is a game that has both unusual plots and challenging stages.

The game’s storyline may be a bit short and you may want more of it, but that’s just it. After completing the main storyline, there are no other special features unlocked, you can either start again or stop right there.

Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction is a challenging and fun game.

Our Rating

This Nintendo DS (NDS) browser version of the popular Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction game can be played online in various sites that emulate NDS games without even downloading the game itself. Hence, this game can be played in most devices anywhere and anytime by searching in websites with emulators for the NDS. The game still has the classic game graphics, audio, presentation, optimization, and the thrill of playing the NDS Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction game. However, in the emulator versions of the game in various browsers, the game’s graphics are somewhat pixelized and it’s audio is not that good compared to the NDS version of the game. Also, there may be some glitches in the game’s stages and minor bugs which are almost negligible as it does not affect the game’s overall gameplay.

All in all, we give the web browser version of the game Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction with a 4.0 overall rating. Ignoring the glitches and bugs encountered in the game, it will still not be able to get a perfect score of 5 since the overall fun in the gameplay may be affected due to the pixelized graphics and the medium audio quality in the game’s web version. But storywise, the game is fun and immersive. We highly recommend the game to the fans of Ben 10-related action-adventure games, and even to those who just watch Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien in their TVs at home.
